I woke up this morning and I had a thought
I looked and the mirror and said to myself you know what we ought…
And I started to think about what seems to be such a simple thing
But if you look closer you will see the depth in the blessings that it brings
I thought about how blessed we are to have this gift that other people are dying to get
I am not talking about money, I am not talking about cars
But I am talking about one of the most missed and biggest blessings underneath the stars
When the sky starts to fall
I often just sit
I bask in it.
The thing I am talking about is the water
The rain
The charity that God keeps giving us to sustain
I often run water and sit in the bath
I reflect on life, I do the complex math
It is then it all begins
I lay my head back and It starts to soak in
I am surrounded by life
Everywhere I look God is hiding in front of my eyes
I long ago figured that out, so I go into the elements
And into God’s house when in doubt
God is the wind that moves us along, God is the force from the vocal chords that allows you to sing your song
God is the water gives us life, God is the light that gives us sight
God is the full moon on the darkest desert night.
For the last few years, I have had to make sure it was right outside of my door
The closer I got to God, I started to understand the depth of the world around me more and more
I am not the soul that can pass by a beautiful scene or an ocean shore
I can see the rain, the wind, the storms as so much more
Much more than I ever could before
The lesson is playing out every day in front of our eyes
But we are the ones playing seek when God is not trying to hide
That is what God told me this morning as I soaked in
I realized again how blessed I was to have such a complex/simple thing as the water on my skin
To be able to easily access such a vital thing is so much more than we realize
It is one of our greatest blessings
Another example of how God can bless you and hide in plain sight
Because you know
Someone
Somewhere
Has it worse than you right?
